This Weekend I....

Had an amazing time with my husband and friends we spent the WHOLE weekend drinking at the beach and the pool, and being lazy watching movies I love relaxing weekends like that they remind me of just how great our life here is! I also found an AMAZING BBQ restaurant here OH how I have missed those since I left Texas! As you can see from the last picture we had a little too much to drink and ended up dancing to crazy songs but it was a blast can't wait to do it again!

Pet Star

I was curious when I received an email from my mom asking if I had seen her new website background, she doesn't normally ask me that because she changes it pretty often. So I had to go see it right away, and I was so excited when I did because who's face was on the front page? Why my adorable little addition Mojo! She used my absolute favorite picture of him that I took to create her new banner! So go check out her site and see just how cute it is!

New Jewels

I have been really getting into jewelry lately and have been selling a lot of it. I'm very excited to finally have something to keep me busy here while hubby is away all the time. So here are the latest jewels I have been working on! I have also started shipping them, if anyone is interested!

Weekend Fun

I have been so busy I haven't been able to post, but this weekend the hubby and I had some awesome fun! We went out to dinner Friday night with a couple we met and had some drinks then we all went back to our place and played in the pool. Saturday we went to the beach and then went a friend's birthday party which was awesome. We met a lot of amazing people from all over the world and made several new friends. I'm also very excited because I have gotten a little tan! YAY me, I know I'm a dork but it's very hard for me to tan and it takes a lot of work so I'm proud.

Dear John

Today I thought I'd treat myself to a nice relaxing day. I woke up and spent a couple hours with the hubby before he left for work then I spent the rest of the day lounging down by the pool. I got a nice sunburn for that but oh well it was a good day. Now I am spending the evening watching "Dear John" and crying like a baby again. Nicholas Sparks almost always gets me. This movie especially hits home though because I know exactly what it feels like to meet someone only to have them torn away from you a few days later. It's very scary to not know what will happen after you've fallen in love so quickly. The first few months after he left that first time were the hardest ones of all. I wasn't even sure if it would work, or if we'd ever see each other again. We did obviously, we were just to crazy for each other. Which makes it even better, but this movie always reminds me of that. It brings back a lot of memories as well of us when we first started dating. Even down to simple little things, like there's this mailbox on his mother's street that's painted like a Texas flag, and every time I drive by it it reminds me of the first few days we spent together because we went for a long walk every night and we always passed it. I love being head over heels in love with my husband. I love feeling like nothing has changed since the day we met, we're still as crazy for each other as we were the first time we saw each other. I love that he still gives me butterflies, and tinglies and all, and most of all that just the thought of him makes me smile. So my readers I ask, is there a movie that makes you feel this way? Or one that brings back great memories?

From the Hubby

Hello ladies!
I wanted to share with you another one of the amazing works from my hubby that kept me going while he was away, it feels so good to be back here with him in our home living our lives once again until the Navy comes calling at least! Sorry I have been a little negligent of my blog since I got home but you all know how it goes! Anyway enjoy and share the love!

For mi wifey I love you honey :)
THE INVASION
Footsteps gentle and light go without notice and assassins persistence
Laughingly ignorant over-confidence pervades and falters vigilance
Distracted by a gentle and calming light thought to be at a distance

Then without warning a flash of blue and green metallic luster
Senses scrambled defenses failed not a chance to muster
Light footsteps grow loud now; A thunderous stampeding doom
And my defeat is ensured as is dusts' to a broom

And to the victor her spoils
A ring
A heart
And a groom
My final defeat and its to my queen a fair and just ruler she grants me dominion and made me her king!

I love you Marie thank you a thousand... million times over for the love that you've shown me and continue too for what reason I don not know? :P its a great mystery but one I am happy to leave unsolved :) MMMMMUUUUAAAAH

Hello Agaain!

Hello ladies! After almost three weeks, another ridiculous 27 hour drive, and many tears I'm finally home, well I'm back where I belong in the arms of my love! I feel like I have neglected you guys but I got pretty busy back in Texas! Some things have changed and I'm super excited to say I sold over $300 worth of jewelry while I was back in Texas

GO ME!!

We have added a new addition to our little family...

I'd like you to meet MOJO... he's the little guy in the middle. Yup he's adorable isn't he. He's a four month old Yorkshire Terrier. You can get your very own here... Happy Lil Pawz

Most of all I am just so happy to be back, I really missed this place... I of course took a walk down to the beach as soon as I got here, and also made a trip to the pool which just opened. I have to say it is very nice they offer food and drinks in a lil cafe, they have music, full time lifeguards, and even restrooms... I was quite surprised! Well I am off to work on more jewels, I am hoping to actually have that jewelry party soon!

Nine Days

... That's how long it has been since I last heard his voice. It's starting to hit me... We haven't gone a single day without talking since we met. There isn't anyway for him to make a phone call on the ship, and I don't know how much longer before I will breakdown. He won't be home for alomst three more weeks, and it's getting to me. I get emails form him sometimes, but even being here in Texas isn't helping. I still have nothing that is taking my mind off of him. What do I do?? What's the longest you have ever gone without speaking? I need something...

Inspiration

Hello all my lovely followers! Yes I am still in Texas but I just couldn't resist you guys! So herre I am blogging on my vacation! I am having a great time with family but I can't wait t be back home. I was very inspired when I read this poem on another blog, It's called "Goodbyes" and I think it speaks to all kinds of goodbyes. It really got me because I can even apply it to just being in a military relationship and having to say goodbye so often. Not that it ever gets easier to say the words, but each time you do, you learn. You learn how to deal, and you learn that you have to be independant and not count on him being there. I hope it's an inspiration to many of you as well, and that it speaks to you in it's own way as it has to me.

"Goodbyes"

After a while you learn

the subtle difference between

holding a hand and chaining a soul

and you learn

that love doesn't mean leaning

and company doesn't always mean security.

And you begin to learn

that kisses aren't contracts

and presents aren't promises

and you begin to accept your defeats

with your head up and your eyes ahead

with the grace of woman, not the grief of a child

and you learn

to build all your roads on today

because tomorrow's ground is

too uncertain for plans

and futures have a way of falling down

in mid-flight.

After a while you learn

that even sunshine burns

if you get too much

so you plant your own garden

and decorate your own soul

instead of waiting for someone

to bring you flowers.

And you learn that you really can endure

you really are strong

you really do have worth

and you learn

and you learn

with every goodbye, you learn.

My Dress

This is the dress I will be wearing hopefully in November when we have our ceremony for the family, it's Ivory though and has a loooong chocolate brown ribbon that goes all the way down the train, I'm hoping to replace it with a red one though, since he will be in his dress blues I think it will look better.

Home

OMGosh!! I am so ecstatic I am going home! Lolo's aunt who lives about three hours from me is making a trip down to Texas on Saturday and will be staying til June 2nd. She's going by herself so I offered to go with her to help drive it's a 26 hour drive and I'm not looking forward to that part but I get to see my family and friends so it's all worth it! By the time I get back hubby should hopefully be home. It will be so nice to be around people and not have to think about him all the time. I will be able to keep myself busy and the time will fly by! So if you guys don't hear from me much in the next couple weeks that's why, it's not that i don't love you anymore I promise! lol EEEEK oh and this is an awesome song, if you've never heard it listen to it it's one of my favorites.

Simple

I just came across ANOTHER contest I had to enter. It's called Military Wedding Week and it's held by Skinnie Piggie. You can click the button below to enter yourself!

Now I don't think I have said much about my wedding to you lovely ladies, and my wedding was definitely nothing huge, it was actually about as small as they come. My hubby and I met on July 30, 2009. He left four days after that to return to Virginia where he is stationed. We talked every day on the phone and I flew twice to go see him. The second time I flew in was for Thanksgiving. I stayed for a week and the last day I was there we went to the Aquarium. We were walking out on the nature trail and all of a sudden he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

This is where we were standing...

We made out in one of the huts afterward...

So of course I said yes, I was the happiest girl in the world. We continued our little adventure and we ended up losing track of time and stayed til they closed at 5pm. My flight left at 6. There was no way I was going to make it but we tried our hardest. We got to the airport at 5:55pm. I was upset there were no other flights leaving that night. It was Sunday and I was supposed to be at work the next day. I went outside and I sat down on the stairs and I remember crying thinking I would lose my job. He came and sat next to me and said he knew how he could cheer me up. He said he wanted to get married the NEXT DAY! I of course being a spontaneous person myself went for it right away, I thought it was so romantic.

The next day we woke up SUPER early and got dressed and went straight to the court house. Now since I wasn't planning any of this I didn't get to wear anything special, but it was the most amazing day of my life. I wouldn't want it any other way. It was just the two of us, staring each other's eyes knowing we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.  We were married exactly four months from the day we met on November 30, 2009. I know it wasn't anything big like a lot of the entries I've seen we didn't have hundreds of people, or big fancy flowers, or even proper clothing, but none of that mattered to me. We plan on having a reception of some sort eventually for the family, but nothing major the simple things are what I live for.

This was the first picture we took after we were married. I was so nervous because absolutely no one knew except for us. So I had the job of going back home to Texas and telling EVERYONE.

Here are a few more photos from my special day ...

Where's my Sunshine?

Today was a horrible day. I was so excited this morning I had planned to go to this Military spouse appreciation event called "An Evening Under the Stars" it's a night FULL of pampering for spouses free massages, manicures, ans all kinds of stuff. I've said before I don't have a car and had planned on going with a friend. She canceled. At the last minute.

That didn't bother too much I figured I'd just stay home and pray to hear from my husband because I hadn't heard from him yet. So I sat around pretty much all day and waited. The story of our lives huh? Well I got up to go to the restroom and get a drink, and what do you know, I come back and he had been online trying to IM me on FB and I MISSED IT!!! I am so frustrated right now. It's also raining like mad crazy here which is scary I hate thunder when I'm alone. I haven't been here alone when we had a bad thunderstorm, usually he's here to kiss my eyelids as I fall asleep and tell me not to be scared because he's there to protect me.

As I was writing all this I ended up getting an email from him. I'm still frustrated at how the day turned out but at least his words make me feel safe again. Here's what he wrote:

"awesome I am so excited that my e-mail works... I had to run round trying to find and dog someone until they set me up with e-mail and comp. access whew! I m gonna find the phones tomorrow to see if i can get a hold of you :)... I'm sorry my messages have been so short just got all set up and then everyone heard I have access and all the married guys came running and I know how they feel.. So we each took turns emailing our wives :), and I'm so proud your the first one to reply because your the best ;) Any who just to let you know what goes down here, its nowhere near as bad as what people make it out to be as far as accommodations go: small sleeping space with a fuck ton of noise form landing jets but I'm starting to get used to it already, galley food is lacking but they make up for it in quantity. I finished my first workout of many on this ship, gyms a lil cramped but ill make it work. to be honest my love I was missing you something fierce something was very off yesterday, I went to my rack immediately after work and thought about you (by the way I discovered your daddy cakes playlist Thanks baby and for the photo as well it really helps) and drifted off to sleep at like 19...7pm. I'm slowly shaken the worst of the sadness off. I am so happy to have really enjoyed my last moments with you taking the time to dwell on the taste and warmth of your skin; the color and shape of your eyes and all the ways the hue of the setting sun drenched them in light and colored them beautiful! and the way you hug me; its as if your trying to give me a gift of love and life... its wonderful its full and complete and leaves me wanting for nothing. I cant wait to be back to you  and the love we share."

He's so good at knowing what to say to make everything better. At least I can sleep peacefully tonight knowing that he's safe for another day.

Who is Mrs. Gambizzle?

Well I have to say I'm extremely excited I'm just about to hit the big 1-0-0! I am one follower away right now how awesome is that? I have been blogging still less than two months and I never thought I would have that many AWESOME people interested in what I have to say. I can now even say I consider many of them friends, and they have become a part of my support system which is important as many of you know when you are a military spouse. So I can't say this enough, but thanks again to all you ladies who continually help to pick me up when I'm down.

I thought it would be fun to actually tell you girls a little about me which tends to be one of the things I find a little difficult. I know you have all read what is in my profile but I just thought I'd share a little more for those of you who read often. I get MANY people asking me if "Gambizzle" is my actual last name, and I have to say it isn't, but I try to follow OPSEC the best I can. However it is close to my last name, it's just something the hubby and I came up with one day being silly, and it kinda stuck around. I use it everywhere now.

So that's me of course in the pictures above, I am 22 years old and I spent my entire life in Texas. This is the first time I have lived in an other state, and I haven't been here long, so I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I've always been a small town girl, and while the city I live in may not be the biggest it's pretty darn big to me. The hubby and I got married 5 months ago, exactly 4 months from the day we met. We lived in the same town for years and never knew it. Our relationship moved VERY fast, and we got a lot of grunts about that but it didn't make a difference to us. We knew, and still know to this day that we were so in love we couldn't wait. We are literally best friends. We know things about each other that no one else in the world knows.  He is everything to me, more than words can describe, i don't really know how else to put it, he's a lot better with words than I am. The things he says to me everyday make me fall in love with him all over again. He never fails to let me know how much he loves me.

That's me holding a very fat, and very spoiled skunk. Daisy, she was super sweet. I've always been a very big animal person, I've always been passionate about working with them. ESPECIALLY "Pit Bulls" they are my absolute favorite of all the dog breeds. I have owned four in my lifetime, and all have been amazing. I worked at a dog rescue right out of high school where they were the major concern, and we helped so many get good homes. I guess I'm what they call a rescuer, it's just always been my nature to wanna help animals, people, whoever needs it.

I like to consider myself a pretty happy person, I'm also a morning person, most of the time. I love to wake up early with Lolo (that's my hubby) and make him breakfast, lunch, and spend some time with him before he leaves. It's important to me to spend as much time with him as I can. Nothing makes me a happier person than being with him. He's my rock. :)

I'm also a very artistic person. I love all kinds of art I enjoy making jewelry, painting, photography, writing, there are so many ways to express yourself! So before I bore you guys to death hehe I will move on I found this on several others blogs, and I thought it was cute to get to know a few other details that a lot of people wouldn't normally ask.

What's worse than a One-Upper?

This to me is worse than what I have learned is called a "one-upper", I woke up this morning to more negativity a.k.a fellow military wives. I do not understand... The first thing I read was this which is part of a status update from a Navy wife, who is apparently upset at all the other wives who are now missing their husbands...

"Wont be on facebook much, its the only way I can avoid status updates from those with the E. I don't need to see people whining and bitching about their guys being gone. I have other things NOT military affiliated to worry about."

Needless to say she has now been removed from my friend list, not that that means anything to her, but I refuse to have that kind of negativity in my life. I love my husband he is my best friend, he's my world. When he is gone, life just isn't the same. I think I am doing pretty damn well with this all, I'm just so angry that people would say things like that. It makes me even more proud to be a military wife. Just to be able to say that I will always be there for any of my fellow military wives who need an ear, a shoulder, anything at all. I will never try to one-up you I will simply listen and do my best to support you! I want people around who will support me when I need it, and I will absolutely be there to do the same. All I have to say is saying that I miss my husband is not complaining, or being negative in my eyes, it's just expressing my feelings the same way I do about everything else. This is the last post I will write on this subject I promise, I was just in disbelief when the negativity continued today, and from so many people. I'm on to much happier things today!
