Happy Thoughts:

My Dress

This is the dress I will be wearing hopefully in November when we have our ceremony for the family, it's Ivory though and has a loooong chocolate brown ribbon that goes all the way down the train, I'm hoping to replace it with a red one though, since he will be in his dress blues I think it will look better.

Home

OMGosh!! I am so ecstatic I am going home! Lolo's aunt who lives about three hours from me is making a trip down to Texas on Saturday and will be staying til June 2nd. She's going by herself so I offered to go with her to help drive it's a 26 hour drive and I'm not looking forward to that part but I get to see my family and friends so it's all worth it! By the time I get back hubby should hopefully be home. It will be so nice to be around people and not have to think about him all the time. I will be able to keep myself busy and the time will fly by! So if you guys don't hear from me much in the next couple weeks that's why, it's not that i don't love you anymore I promise! lol EEEEK oh and this is an awesome song, if you've never heard it listen to it it's one of my favorites.

Simple

I just came across ANOTHER contest I had to enter. It's called Military Wedding Week and it's held by Skinnie Piggie. You can click the button below to enter yourself!

Now I don't think I have said much about my wedding to you lovely ladies, and my wedding was definitely nothing huge, it was actually about as small as they come. My hubby and I met on July 30, 2009. He left four days after that to return to Virginia where he is stationed. We talked every day on the phone and I flew twice to go see him. The second time I flew in was for Thanksgiving. I stayed for a week and the last day I was there we went to the Aquarium. We were walking out on the nature trail and all of a sudden he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

This is where we were standing...

We made out in one of the huts afterward...

So of course I said yes, I was the happiest girl in the world. We continued our little adventure and we ended up losing track of time and stayed til they closed at 5pm. My flight left at 6. There was no way I was going to make it but we tried our hardest. We got to the airport at 5:55pm. I was upset there were no other flights leaving that night. It was Sunday and I was supposed to be at work the next day. I went outside and I sat down on the stairs and I remember crying thinking I would lose my job. He came and sat next to me and said he knew how he could cheer me up. He said he wanted to get married the NEXT DAY! I of course being a spontaneous person myself went for it right away, I thought it was so romantic.

The next day we woke up SUPER early and got dressed and went straight to the court house. Now since I wasn't planning any of this I didn't get to wear anything special, but it was the most amazing day of my life. I wouldn't want it any other way. It was just the two of us, staring each other's eyes knowing we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.  We were married exactly four months from the day we met on November 30, 2009. I know it wasn't anything big like a lot of the entries I've seen we didn't have hundreds of people, or big fancy flowers, or even proper clothing, but none of that mattered to me. We plan on having a reception of some sort eventually for the family, but nothing major the simple things are what I live for.

This was the first picture we took after we were married. I was so nervous because absolutely no one knew except for us. So I had the job of going back home to Texas and telling EVERYONE.

Here are a few more photos from my special day ...
