Happy Thoughts:

Please pray for Rachel

I cannot imagine what it must feel like to lose your husband, and there are no words to explain the amount of pain and sorrow that go along with it. Please keep Rachel in your prayers she's only 23 and she just recently lost her husband who never even got to hold their new baby girl Ariana. I couldn't hold back the tears when I began reading her story, it really hit me hard. I can't imagine what I would do if I lost my husband, he is my everything, my world, my sky.

Please pray for her and their baby Ariana, they have a tough road ahead.

You can stop by and read her blog here:

From My Hubby

When our breath hangs low
Fog on the window just to show
Of the love we both grew to know
Late in the chill of the night

Quiver for a kiss
Mourning for this moment we will miss
Mourning for the ending of our tryst
Morning and we both yield to the light
Prevading the sane is the desire to fight
Fight for this loves presence
Fight for this room and all its contents

Contented to fore go today and look past tomorrow
Smile absent minded we forget and fore go this sorrow
Stay my love, stay give hope, show faith, and we will rise above!
Adversity is nothing for we have love, stay!

Moving Day!

I was so ecstatic on the day it finally came! I had been waiting for what felt like forever to finally start my life with my husband. I started the journey from Texas with my husband's mom on February 4, 2010, two weeks earlier than originally planned because I was trying to surprise him like he is so great at doing for me, but it didn't work out so well. It was a very long and stressful trip that took three days to make. Not to mention we were in my little Pontiac G6 with all of my belongings, and two dogs! There was so much crammed into my car there wasn't even room for the dogs to have their crate so they slept in my lap the entire way. They had never seen snow before, or slept in a hotel so I'm sure it was extremely stressful and crazy for them as well. By the end of the second day the anticipation of being in my hubby's arms again was killing me. It had been over two months since we had last seen each other the day we got married. This is where my journey as a Sailor's Girl officially begins...

The Greatest Day of My Life!

I consider the greatest day of my life to be the day I married my husband. November 30, 2009, exactly four months from the day we met. It was only the third time we had ever met, I flew to Virginia for Thanksgiving so we could be together since he couldn't make it home. We had a really good time going to the park, seeing a movie, and spending an entire day at the aquarium. We had talked about getting married already but we were planning on waiting until at least the following summer. I guess he decided he didn't wanna wait that long because while we were on the trail walk at the aquarium he got down on his knee and asked me to be his wife! I was supposed to leave that night but I ended up missing my flight because we lost track of time at the aquarium. So we spontaneously decided to get married the next day! It was so romantic! No one knew we were married til I flew back home to Texas, I was so nervous to tell the family. They reacted better than I thought they would, surprisingly. Unfortunately I had to leave the same day we got married, but it was so worth it. iLy babe MUAH!

It's not always easy being in a military relationship. Time apart is stressful, lonely, and it happens often. Not to mention the many people who try to make it harder by adding in their drama, and horror stories. Marriages take a lot of work in general but add in deployments, and long work days, and the other numerous occasions you will be separated, and comments some have made like "It's destined to fail." I don't believe this for a minute, with the right amount of commitment from both people, and the willingness and strength to get through the time apart it can be an amazing journey. A journey I am so excited to be making with my sailor.

From My Hubby

Her body moves delightfully, not the most graceful or fluid but so beautifully impassioned, her body whispers, speaks of a flame dwelling deep, flickering. It speaks just briefly here and there, suggesting, begging, hinting to be free. Suppressed by her mind, her judgment subconscious as is mine. Willing to give in, but not yet willing to let go, timid now, but yet beautifully bolder she grows. I want her, her compassion, her understanding, her desire to better herself, her stunning eyes that shimmer with innocence, admiration, and appreciation, and peer through the minutia of gaudy flashy words, to the meaning, to the person, to the soul, even if she can't describe what she's seeing. Eyes that possess a soul far older than her, eyes that can appreciate not only what something is, but what it can be. Eyes that believe in me, eyes that trust me, eyes that drive me without thought and seemingly without effort, to be something better than myself. Her body, her eyes, her love... I want her... I love her.

Our First Goodbye

Just a few days later I found myself saying goodbye to this man I had fallen head over heels in love with. It was August 7, 2009, and he had to leave for Virginia. I was so terrified that i wouldn't ever see him again. I don't think I've ever had so many emotions running through me at once! I was excited with this new found love, but so scared that it would slip away as many long distance relationships do. So we hesitantly said our long goodbyes promising we would meet again. The next two and a half months were the hardest months of my life, but we spent every waking moment talking on the phone or texting. During this time came the first "I love you's", both of our birthdays passed, and I spent my time keeping myself busy the best I could until we could be together again. October 17, 2009 was the day it finally happened. It was my first time ever on a plane but I was determined to be with this man again! It was totally worth it, we spent the entire week in each others arms, laughing, smiling, and falling even more in love!

A Perfect Love

Three days after I met the man of my dreams I knew with absolute certainty he was the one I would spend the rest of my life with. He asked me to meet him at his house for a special night out. When I arrived he met me at the door with a single red Tulip. We made our way to Valentino's for a nice dinner and he said he had a story to tell me little did I know it would end with me in tears!

 Here's the story...

A sturdy Persian youth named Farhad, a prince some say, was deeply in love with the fair princess Shirin. When her father got word of this love he said the only way Farhad could have her hand in marriage would be to complete an impossible task. It was decided that he would have to dig a canal by himself, that would take him years to finish. One day when his task was almost complete, word reached him that his beloved had been killed. Gripped by unbearable grief, he mounted his favorite horse and galloped over a cliff to his death. From his numerous wounds droplets of blood trickled onto the ground. From each drop of blood a scarlet tulip sprang, a symbol of his perfect love. So it was that in ancient Persia the red tulip became a symbol of passionate love.

Later that night I found myself calling my good friend and exclaiming how I was totally in love, this was the first she had heard of him so all she could say was "With who?"

Friendship set to music

I met the most amazing, wonderful man on July 30, 2009. I was dying to go to this Kevin Fowler concert and even though he had no clue who he was he was eager to take me. We had an amazing time that night which led right up to our very first kiss... it was wonderful, and unexpected! I was so into the music I was shocked when he leaned in and kissed me! We just couldn't get enough of each other that night, so after the concert we decided to go out dancing. I was so intrigued by everything he had to say, he had such a way with words. We never ran out of things to talk about. We stayed out 'til the next morning when he made me promise to call and let him know I had made it home safely. I was the happiest girl in the world just from one little kiss!

"Your Kiss"

I can't resist the temptation
It's so deliciously sweet
Like candy for my soul
It's the only drug, I cannot recover from
I'm addicted
It makes my heart race
Sends the blood rushing through me
My whole world disappears
Into a moment of pure bliss
Every time I taste your sweet kiss
