Happy Thoughts:

What a Headache

Today has not been the greatest day for me & I feel like doing what he's doing in the picture. Last night I had a dream about my hubby dying again. I don't want to get into it, but it wasn't pretty at all. I hate dreams like that, they don't come around often but he has had a couple oft hem too. They used to be more frequent when we first got married, but have lessened since we live together. I've looked in various dream books, which seem to say that I have some sort of insecurity with our relationship, and with the "Big D" coming closer and closer who wouldn't. I woke up with a huge headache this morning which nothing seems to be able to ease. So I've been struggling with that while trying to go about my daily laundry and such. Hubby has been asking me to fill out some paperwork for a few days and like the procrastinator that I am I have put it off until today of all days. I pulled it out of the drawer and took a closer look to find that it was an EDF which for those of you who aren't military affiliated is an Emergency Data Form which is all the info they need in case your spouse is killed or injured while they are deployed. So I sat down to fill it out and it just got to me, after the dream last night, so I decided today isn't the day for it. I instead decided to take the "kiddos" downstairs for some air, and to check the mail, and what do ya know... there was a form in the mail from the social security administration saying that my hubby is now eligible for social security if he were ot die this year!!! WTF is up with all of this...all I have to say is this is freaking me out.

From the hubby

It's been a while since I've done one of these, and I have tons of new followers so, for those of you who are new, every once in a while I like to post my hubby's poetry. He writes the most amazing poetry for me, and it really helps me through the hard times. So here is one of my favorites, he wrote this for me after we met for the third time. I flew to VA to see him and we had an extra amazing time, we cooked together, and it was the same visit that he proposed & we got married!. He even made it all scrapbook-like and special for me so I could put it in our book.

This is our special book by the way...

As you can see in less than a year it's already so full it can't even close!

and sorry for the horrible picture but here is the original of the poem that he sent me...

I love how he goes out of his way to make sure everything is special for me, he cut out labels, and painted the background, I couldn't ask for more. So here's the poem which he didn't title.

Dark red wine presses gently to her perfect parted lips
Prevading her body lascivious and lively she gets
Her lush sensuality drips, from every gentle curve, every graceful line

Her hands her body hot pleading for mine
And forgetful we are of the time
For we are caught in one another
Til burning fills the air and we laugh at each other

The hum of the fan the sweet smokey air pulls us
Unwanton from our ordeal
We turn impatient back to the preparation of our meal

Yet an intolerable excitement persists for nakedness yet to be revealed
Longing for each other's touch, each other's kiss
Desperate we feel

Fighting as we eat and imbibe more drink
"Flirting with the inevitable" we both think
We both know yet the pleasant ache persists
The anticipation heightening our bliss

Finally in privacy, and in love
It culminates, it's divine, it's making love

I Pledge

The Department of Transportation has asked American bloggers to spotlight the critical importance of staying sober behind the wheel this Independence Day. So I'm joining in the pledge to not drink and drive. I know what it's like to lose someone in an accident that involves drinking. When I was 18 my friend Ernie lost his life when he decided to drink and drive, and he couldn't control his truck. So please join me and take the pledge to not drink and drive!

God Bless America

Today I am thanking God for all that he has given me. Sometimes it takes a little reality check to stop and think about what we have in life. Last night we went to the grocery store because I didn't want anything we had in the house so I waited out in the car while hubby went inside really quick to grab a couple things, and I was just hanging out in the mini cooper listening to music when this sweet old lady wearing a "God Bless America" T-shirt knocked on my window. I rolled it down, and she said "Excuse me miss, but do you have two dollars so I could get myself something to eat?" I felt like the WORST person in the world but I had to tell her no because I don't carry cash only cards, I ALWAYS lose cash. Hubby was still in the store so I really didn't have anything to give her. Then my husband comes walking out a few minutes later and is about to get in the car when she comes back and asks him, so of course he gave it to her, and then I felt even worse like GEEZ she probably thinks I'm a BITCH sitting here in my little air conditioned car not wanting to hand over two dollars!

On the way home I was thinking it's only a couple blocks to the grocery store and I'm kinda glad to live close to a neighborhood like that so that I always have a reminder nearby to keep myself from forgetting how good my life is, and how priveleged I am to live where I do. So today I just want to be thankful for everything I have, and where I have been lucky enough to go in life. I hope this gives you a little encouragement to do the same, I think it's perfect for right before 4th of July too! We are celebrating really big this year!

Blessings

Yesterday I was lucky enough to meet the wonderful Blessing from Musings of an Army Wife and we had a blast at the beach with her GORGEOUS baby girl! We had such a great time we are planning to hang out again before she leaves town! Her little girl is the happiest baby I have ever met! She was having the time of her life splashing around out in the ocean and it was the perfect day we took them to the private military beach here so it was not too crowded and the water felt GREAT!

We were also BLESSED with this gorgeous television this weekend! It's pretty much brand new, a 32" flatscreen Panasonic, and was given to us by our lovely friends who bought a new larger television. I never told you all but my husband broke the television when he was still living in the barracks so we unfortunately just had to fork out $400 and buy them a new one. So I feel very blessed that we were lucky enough to have someone GIVE us an awesome TV like this!

Saturday

Saturday is my favorite day of the week. We always get to sleep in til about 7:30 or 8 and then we get up and make a BIIIIG wonderful delicious breakfast. Today it is beautiful outside so we took our little "children" to the park to play and got some great pictures. There is a beautiful park just down the street from our house where we like to take them it's very dog friendly and there are hardly ever any people there when we go so they can get off the leash and run out all of their energy. We are going to spend the rest of the day lounging by the pool and hopefully will get a chance to go to dinner with Blessing @ "Musings of an Army Wife" I'm excited to meet her!

I have come to a conclusion

Yup.

and he has become the

Here we go again...

Normally I'm not the kind of person to start any sort of conflict with anyone. I'm very laid back make love not war kind of a person, however, when I see a status like this...

"I am so F***** pissed off!! F*** the NAVY!! How are you gonna steal my husband and then tell me your cutting our leave time in half!!"

and like this...
"I'm so sick of this bull**** F*** the Navy F*** MSRON6 YOU SUCK! Only three years left and we're done with this bull****!"

I tend to get a little offended, I'm sorry but I think it's trashy, shameful, and downright embarrassing to write things like that on facebook, when we should be saying things like THIS (Thank you JLeigh)

So I was bad and I wrote a status that said:
"I understand it's hard to live the military life, sometimes almost unbearable, but cursing about his squadron & talking trash about them on FB is trashy."
So then I guess the girl knew I was talking about her right away and I got this nastly little message that made me giggle to myself and sorta feel bad for saying anything at all, but I could not just stand by and read that kind of stuff for DAYS! Please excuse all of her typos and misspelled words and what not...
"Yup I guess I'm trashy but you have no clue what Cole has went through. Yes he's in the navy and yes I understand your husband is too but the things Cole has been put through are NOT right. I have not meet or talked to another Sailor who has went through all the things that my husband has been through. He joined the Navy because we thought it would be a safer job but really he should been a Marine at least he would get paid more. Also if you had a problem with me you could of took it up up with me!! Don't act like your Mrs.perfect and never said thing you never meant. Don't seat there and right on your status on how I should acted!! Have been married for 3years and haven't got a chance to spend one anniversary together or Christmas!! my son is also turning three and Cole has yet to be there for our son Birthday. Cole and I have been apart longer more than we have been married and sometime it just gets hard. Cole command also said that we would be able to spend a year together but instead we got three months!! So my point is before you go talking shit about me get your f***ing fact straight!!"
So I went against my better judgement of ignoring her altogether and I replied to her immature message with this...
"I'm not talking shit about you and you are just like all the other wives who have yet to learn that we all go through the same heartbreaking situations. You think what you and your family have been through is worse than any of our situations but it's really not. We've all been through it, and will continue too as long as we are living this lifestyle. You can curse at me and get upset all you want, i know you will be upset with me no matter what I say, but the point of my status was not to talk trash about you it was that I DO NOT agree with the way you said it and yes it is TRASHY to say things like that. I understand you are upset but you don't have to talk like that, especially not to the whole world. It's not right to say things like that about his squadron or the Navy on a site like this, as a matter of fact, not only is it not right, but you should be ashamed and embarrassed because you could also get him into trouble if say a chief or someone were to see it. So girl I think YOU are the one who needs to get your facts straight."

So the point of all this I guess is just what do you think, did I do the wrong thing? Was I bad for being offended by someone insulting OUR NAVY like that?
